Extreme and numbing Black Metal that pushes the visions of VON into further depths of punishing noise!!!
Raw Hellish Guitar, Hammering Pulse and Inhuman Vokills!!!
A creation of Xardas with Pisk (ASKA)!!

VEINEN - the creation of Xardas - recorded one track, Black Hypnosis, in 2003. It was sent out to two or three individuals so they could decide if they were interested in recording the vocals.
After reading an interview with Pisk from ASKA (Swe) on Mother Goat webzine, where Pisk wrote: " ... One of the things that'll be on top of the list is an ultra-monotonous, possessed Black Metal in the Von-spirit ...", Xardas immediatly sent the "Black Hypnosis" track to Pisk. After hearing the track, Pisk joined in 2004.
The three final tracks for the debut demo - Apocalyptic Nuclear Terror, Black Hypnosis, The Cave Of God - were sent to Pisk for vocals.
A copy of the final tape was sent to Todestrieb at the beginning of 2005.

Very sick, agonizing monotonous Black metal! You have something to live up to when picking your name from a VON-song (?) and luckily Veinen do just that! This kills! Not for normal people!

If you thought Von was as lo fi as it gets then you've yet to hear this savage release of pure black metal terror. One of only about 3 releases in recent memory that was actually headache inducing.

Veinen, as the name says, is a project very much inspired by the legendary VON; the root of Veinen is the minimalistic, hypnotic Black Metal of VON, although the result of Pisk’s (of Aska) and Xardas’ (of, among others, Kafan and 20.SV) collaboration doesn’t in my ears sound much like VON at all, even though many of the basic ingredients are similar.
The music is minimalistic, simplistic and primitive, true to the style of VON. And as with VON, the songs seem to build upon a single percussive pattern and a single riff, with the listeners’ attention being fixed upon Pisk’s inhuman, demonic and powerful vocals. The oddest part of Black Hypnosis is definitely the percussion… they are not conventional drums/drum machines, but truly odd sounding things.
